Duelling Princesses, and hardcore women in history
There are so many historical examples of women who have been lost to the mansplaining amendments of modern history. Every time I see someone commenting that “A woman wouldn’t [or couldn’t] do that” I start to twitch. Gender roles are such an artificial construct, and often a modern one, yet somehow they have entered the communal perception as being the norm.
Women ruling empires (yep we got that). Princesses murdering thousands to avenge her dead husband.. ditto. Duelists, Inventors, Adventurers… the only limit to what someone can do is intelligence and audacity, genitalia is only a factor if we let it be.
